The images of this horse getting stuck in quicksand and his owner staying by his side until he was rescued made me tear up a bit, not gonna lie. (x)

The connection between horse and man.

I don’t think I know a horse person that wouldn’t stay with their horse if this happened to them. I know I wouldn’t even question it.

I agree—I’d do anything for my horse.

This brings back bad memories…a few years ago we moved my previous horse to a new home that was just a run-in and a field next to a river. Something scared him one night and he somehow got through the fence and got stuck in the mud. When the tide came in, he drowned. I haven’t stopped thinking ‘If I could only have been there for him’.

And now I feel like an idiot. Because I started bawling at this, not from memories of my horses, but from the scene in the Never Ending Story where the horse dies in the Bog.

Awww…bless. This made me think back to my horse Cantata, you stay with your fur babies no matter the cost and try to protect them. Even fur babies who I didn’t know I’d stay with them if they were in trouble….
